What homeowners ask

Straight answers before you book.

From tree removal costs to cleanup, here’s what to expect before you request an estimate.

How much does tree removal cost?

Tree removal costs depend on the tree’s size and condition, access, nearby structures and utilities, and whether climbing, rigging or equipment is needed. Wood handling, hauling, cleanup and any stump grinding also affect the price. We review the property and provide a written estimate for the proposed work.

Are estimates free, and what will my quote include?

Yes. Start with the service, property address and a short description. We’ll follow up about a free estimate. Your written quote sets out the trees or limbs involved, the proposed work, wood and brush handling, hauling and cleanup, and any stump grinding. It also makes options and exclusions clear before you approve the work. Request your free estimate.

Can my tree be saved instead of removed?

Sometimes. A leaning tree or a damaged limb doesn’t automatically mean the whole tree needs to come down. We consider its health, structure, roots, visible defects and what is nearby. Purposeful pruning or monitoring may be appropriate; when removal is recommended, we explain the concerns. Photos can help describe the issue, but they don’t replace an on-site review.

Can you work near my house, fence or garden?

Yes. We plan removals around buildings, fences, driveways, lawns and landscaping. Access, equipment routes and how branches and logs will be moved are considered before work begins. Depending on the site, the plan may use climbing, bucket access, rigging and controlled lowering. Tree work can affect turf, so we discuss relevant site limitations. See our work near homes.

Is stump grinding included with tree removal?

Only when it is listed in your written estimate. Tell us if you want the stump addressed so it can be priced into the scope. Stump grinding reduces the visible stump below ground level; it does not remove the entire root system. The quote should also explain how the grindings will be handled.

Do you haul away the wood and clean up?

We complete the wood handling, debris removal and cleanup included in your written estimate. Tell us whether you want logs left in an agreed spot or hauled away, and mention any specific cleanup expectations during the property visit. That way the proposal can spell out what is included before the crew starts.

Are you insured and led by an ISA Certified Arborist?

Yes. Angel Tree Services is insured and led by an ISA Certified Arborist. That credential reflects demonstrated knowledge of tree health, structure and care, supporting clear recommendations for your property. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request. Ask us about the recommended work and any concerns before you approve the estimate.

What should I do about a fallen or storm-damaged tree?

Stay clear of damaged trees, downed power lines and anything touching them. Call 911 for immediate danger and report power-line hazards to your electric utility. For urgent tree work, call (540) 388-8715 first. We offer 24/7 emergency storm response for serious damage and urgent hazards; timing depends on conditions, crew safety, location and severity. See our storm guidance.

Do you offer a veterans discount?

Yes. Veterans receive a 5% discount for work at residential properties only. It applies to the full service and material subtotal before taxes and fees and cannot be combined with other discounts. Mention the discount in your project details when you request your free estimate.

Do you also offer landscaping?

Yes. Alongside tree care, we offer bush and hedge trimming, weeding, edging and mulch work. Tell us if you’d like tree work and landscaping considered in the same estimate. Visit our landscaping page for examples of the work, and check our service areas for coverage.
